TheCentury.com was the web component of ABCNEWS’ landmark coverage of the twentieth century, anchored in 1999 by Peter Jennings. Before user-generated content was all the rage, I produced the site’s “Time Capsule,” an interactive online collection of people’s memories about the century. This involved extensive grassroots outreach to communities such as veterans and seniors and an unforgettable phone interview with Sydney Poitier.
